Today, we're delving into a honey-soaked dessert that spans cultures and continents: baklava. A flaky, layered pastry of nuts, honey, and butter, I'm sorry I can't type anymore I'm actively drooling.

Here's an amazing idea for you: this recipe which I'm not going to provide is invented by me but I'll give you the basic idea of the dish and see what you can come up with. You make a raspberry Turkish delight and it goes inside of baklava coated in very light powdered sugar it is amazing it's like a raspberry filled donut but not as thicken gooey it's much more fluffy
i really thought my earbuds were broken
Yo, I hate ASMR, but this made both ears tingle pleasantly for the entire time . . . this has never happened to me O.o

The great thing about cooking... especially when cooking famous, well-loved recipes... is that there is not right or wrong way. Baklava has as many forms as it does varying ingredients, and no matter how you make it, you add your own spin, care, and love to the proceedings. In the end, what results is delight for all, and that's why cooking is such a wonderful endeavor. Having said all that, this baklava recipe is totally, utterly wrong.
I had the pleasure of working for a first woman who was born and raised in Greece. Got to watch her put layer after layer of dough. Amazing process

In my country we usually eat backlava on New Year's Eve. Naturally every family has it's own recipe, but I've never seen someone put honey or cinnamon in the actual syrup. It's so strange and it makes it almost too sweet to eat
Substitute some of the water (or all if you're an idiot like me) in the honey mixture with cognac. Trust.
Could you make pistachio pudding?
Napokon nesto sto se pravi na nasim prostorima
The music is almost too loud to hear his voice
This isn't baklava at all but as Prince would have said; "Whatever peanut butters your jelly." You should come to Turkey some time.Turkish cuisine isn't about kebaps and baklava, there is a huge variety of food and it's truely one of the best cuisines in the world.

For anyone that wants to fix the audio just for this video that is on windows 10, just toggle the "turn on mono audio" in the "ease of access audio settings". Pretty easy to find in the start menu.
If you imagine Babish is just whispering in your ear while watching it makes it much more enjoyable
Is baklava Arabic or Turkish? Because both makes it and both say they are the original. Edit: Byzantine Empire so its Turkish. And it became popular in Greece and Arab countries because of the Ottoman Empire
Going to try a maple walnut version and see what happens.
You can atcualy hear the VO on the right ear but it's just super quiet lol

Anyone remember that scene from Big mouth?

That is really NOT how one makes syrup for Middle Eastern desserts. No, dude, just no. NO.
When you do baklava şerbet(syrup) all you need is water, sugar and few drops of lemon juice. Adding honey and cinnamon is so wrong. And never use cinnamon when you make baklava. Love, from Turkey.
Well, I hope you make a binging with babish soon then... there is a movie on Netflix called 'the old guard' and baklava is in that...
Easy approach to a complex dessert. For traditional baklava there have to be 40 layers.
do you have to use honey?
I was wearing only my right earphone bc my mom loves calling me from 500 miles away and I didn’t realize he spoke the entire time and I only heard music. I thought it was a silent episode kinda thing...
